Project or Senior Civil Engineer

Role Overview
The successful candidate will work on technically challenging projects, focusing on delivering results to clients. Reporting to a Partner or Associate, you will be responsible for the production and management of various Civil Engineering projects from inception to completion.
Responsibilities
- Manage project production from inception to completion with oversight from a Partner or Associate.
- Prepare project management plans, appointment documents, financial management, invoice drafting, report writing, calculation, specification, drawing, and PDS/Civil 3D model production.
- Prepare Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies to suit client needs.
- Provide leadership and management to project resources.
- Make technical and commercial decisions to control exposure to risk with support from the Project Partner.
- Liaise with co-professionals and clients through meetings and conference calls, contributing to information production and execution programmes.
- Delegate workload, monitor delivery, and help train and mentor other team members.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience compiling submissions to UK Building Control.
- Demonstrated creativity and innovation in civil engineering design solutions across highways and drainage design.
- Significant knowledge and experience of relevant regulations and guidance, including the most up-to-date versions of:
- Manual for Streets
- Design Manual for Roads and Bridges
- Sewers for Adoption
- SuDS Manual
- National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF)
- Experience with PDS, Micro Drainage, and AutoCAD (Civils 3D preferable).
- Knowledge and experience of the application of the CDM Regulations.
- Ability to plan and manage personal and team effectiveness.
- Competent and confident in giving presentations internally and to clients and co-professionals.
- Commercial awareness and understanding of professional risks, including actions necessary to satisfy the terms of appointments, warranties, and insurances.
