About the Role


As a Senior Transport Planner, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering complex, high-value projects across a broad range of sectors—including residential, industrial, healthcare, mixed-use town and city centre developments, and energy infrastructure. Project values range from under £10,000 to over £100,000.

About the Company


With over 300 professionals across 14 offices nationwide, this consultancy focuses exclusively on the built environment. Their London office is home to a close-knit team of six transport planners—from graduates to senior leaders—offering a collaborative and supportive working environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the preparation of Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Travel Plans, and inputs into Environmental Statements.
  • Manage project delivery, ensuring clear communication and effective resource planning.
  • Represent the consultancy at client, design team, and planning authority meetings.
  • Contribute to masterplanning and site access strategies across all modes of transport.
  • Uphold the company’s Quality Management System across all workstreams.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members.
What We’re Looking For
  • A degree in a relevant discipline, with active pursuit of a professional qualification.
  • Proven experience in a transport planning consultancy role.
  • Strong client-facing skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholder expectations.
  • Commercial awareness, including an understanding of project budgeting and finances.
  • Proficiency in transport modelling and analysis software, such as JUNCTIONS, LinSig, or equivalents.
