CIVIL DRAINAGE DESIGN ENGINEER

SALARY: £40,000  - Depends On Experience


 


This Civil and Structural engineering consultancy are looking for a civil engineer to join them in their Draycott office. As the civil engineer you will report to the Senior Drainage Engineer and will ensure the delivery of contracts, communicate information to clients, architects or their nominated representatives, suppliers, and relevant members of the company staff.


 


The projects that the civil engineer will be working on will vary from residential , commercial to industrial brownfield sites. The projects tend to vary in value from £2,000 – £10,000 , so it keeps things very interesting and challenging for someone coming into the business with a large turnover of different projects.


 


CIVIL ENGINEER MAIN DUTIES:


 

• To organise, control and manage contracts within the Drainage team.
• Preparation of Surface and Foul Water drainage designs, at outline strategy, detailed planning, and construction phases including drawings, calculations, and reporting.
• Preparation of Flood Risk Assessments for planning purposes.
• Undertake site visits, walkover inspections and investigations.

• The civil engineer will be working towards Chartered status or have aspirations to do so.
• The ability to operate standard Microsoft Office applications, Drainage Software (Causeway or similar) and be familiar with the use of AutoCAD software.
• The civil engineer will hold a full driving license with access to a vehicle with business use insurance cover.
