Electrical Installation Engineer & PPM Engineer
Location: London & South East
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 (dependent on experience)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Installation Engineer to join our expanding commercial team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems across a variety of commercial environments, as well as carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) between project works.
This is a hands-on role that requires someone who can work independently, take initiative on-site, and demonstrate strong competence in initial verification and testing.
Key Responsibilities
  • Install, test, and commission electrical systems within commercial buildings and refurbishment projects.
  • Carry out PPM maintenance and small remedial works between project installations.
  • Conduct initial verification and ensure all installations comply with current regulations and standards.
  • Work safely and efficiently across multiple commercial sites, maintaining high quality and compliance standards.
  • Liaise with clients, project managers, and colleagues to ensure smooth delivery of works.
Qualifications & Experience
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) essential.
  • Testing & Inspection certification (City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395) – desirable but not essential.
  • Proven experience in commercial electrical installations.
  • Ability to work from drawings and complete works with minimal supervision.
  • Full UK driving licence required.
Package
  • Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 (depending on experience)
  • Vehicle: Company van and fuel card
  • Tiered travel time paid after 30 mins/ 1 hr each way
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, standard working hours
