About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Fire / Electrical contracts manager to oversee a portfolio of contracts and reactive maintenance works valued at approximately £500k. You’ll be based out of our Kent office, and responsible for managing projects predominantly in Kidbrooke, Woolwich, and Greenwich, with occasional work across other parts of London. 

This is a hands-on management role where you’ll lead a team of 5 engineers and work alongside a dedicated Quantity Surveyor to ensure works are delivered efficiently, on time, and within budget. You’ll also liaise directly with clients, coordinate with suppliers, and uphold our commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage electrical and fire safety contracts and reactive works
  • The suitable candidate will be responsible for managing 5 – 7 engineers covering static and mobile sites across London and the southeast
  • Assist with call-out rota with other managers
  • Coordinate engineers, ensuring timely and effective deployment across multiple sites
  • Work closely with the QS to manage costs, variations, and project profitability
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing issues and identifying opportunities
  • Plan, forecast, and report on contract progress
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the engineering team

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a similar contracts management role (ideally within Fire and/or Electrical)
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and fire safety regulations
  • Excellent project and people management skills
  • Ability to manage budgets and control costs
  • Strong communication and client-facing abilities
  • Full UK driving licence
