Fire Alarm Operations Manager – Essex - £60,000 


This role is responsible for overseeing operational performance across the business, ensuring compliance with industry standards, improving efficiency, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. The Operations Manager will work closely with senior leadership and department managers to drive continuous improvement, support staff development, and ensure the business operates in line with regulatory and quality requirements.

Salary Package:
  • £55,000 - £60,000
  • 40 Hour working week
  • 25 days of Holidays

Duties:
  • Lead internal and external audits, ensuring full compliance and timely completion of actions
  • Maintain and improve company policies, procedures, and certifications
  • Monitor and improve operational performance and efficiency across departments
  • Implement process improvements to support business growth
  • Analyse performance data and report to senior management
  • Manage and develop staff, including reviews, recruitment, and employee relations
  • Act as the main escalation point for customer and internal issues, ensuring prompt resolution
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, attending meetings when required
  • Oversee suppliers, subcontractors, and company resources (fleet, stock, equipment)
  • Support procurement activities and cost control
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and general business needs

  • Maintain profitable project margins
  • Deliver successful audit outcomes with minimal issues
  • Ensure customer issues are resolved effectively and efficiently
  • Improve overall operational efficiency

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in an Operations Manager or similar role
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g. ISO 9001)
  • Experience managing audits and compliance frameworks
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • Confident communicator with stakeholder management experience
