Principal/Senior Civil Engineer – Design

 

Location: London

 

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 (Depending on Experience)

They are currently seeking a Principal/Senior Civil Engineer to join their London office and enhance their services in this domain.

 

Role Overview:

 

As a key member of the civils team, you will be involved in all project stages from inception to completion. Working closely with discipline leaders and Directors, you will support and develop junior team members to ensure the highest standards of design within project constraints. Responsibilities include infrastructure, highways, and drainage design, scheme development, preliminary and detailed designs, and project management. You will liaise with clients, architects, contractors, and regulatory authorities to deliver detailed designs for Section 38, Section 104, and other statutory authority approvals.

 

Requirements for Principal/Senior Civil Engineer:

  • A Master's or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Chartered status with the ICE is preferred or a desire to achieve chartered status.
  • Proven track record across multiple sectors delivering projects of varying values.
  • Detailed working knowledge of Site 3D or Civils 3D, WINDES, and AutoCAD. Familiarity with DMRB and residential design experience is essential.
  • Experience in drainage design, highway alignment design, materials specification, ground conditions, earthworks, and gaining Consents and planning approvals (S278, S38, S104, etc.).
