Senior structural Engineer (hybrid)

Are you looking for a senior structural engineering role that doesn’t include hands on design?

You will play a key role in assessing and advising on the structural condition of existing buildings. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team including fire engineers, building surveyors and architects, you will investigate structural defects, analyse building performance and provide clear engineering recommendations.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out structural condition surveys and site inspections

• Leading intrusive investigations and opening-up works

• Diagnosing structural defects and identifying root causes

• Producing technical structural reports and assessments

• Supporting FRAEW, PAS 9980 and Building Safety Case submissions

• Undertaking feasibility studies and remediation options appraisals

• Providing structural advice on refurbishment, strengthening and remediation projects

• Reviewing contractor or specialist structural designs

• Working closely with clients and project teams to provide clear engineering advice

The role focuses primarily on assessment, reporting and advisory work on existing structures, with occasional concept-level structural design relating to strengthening or refurbishment.
