My client are an established M&E contracting business established over 15 years with a forecasted annual turnover in excess of £18 Million, they are part of the a Group of Companies which is a privately owned Group of Businesses with Turnover in Excess of £800 Million.

My client are a multi-disciplined M&E business providing services to Main Contractors and Developers in the Residential New Build Market utilising Centralised Energy Systems, Offices, Schools and leisure facilities.

THE ROLE – M&E Quantity Surveyor – Surrey

Monday – Friday / 8am – 5pm

Due to continued expansion, they are looking for an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to join our team to provide financial cost control and contract administration to a number of projects in and around the London area.

Based in Surrey, the successful candidate will oversee a portfolio of M&E projects ranging in value from £1 to £7 Million working closely with our Operations team ensuring compliance with the scope of works and contract requirements.

You will be looking after 4 projects, each one circa £1.5 - £2 mil so under £8 mil.

Duties

  • Prepare detailed Monthly Applications for Payment in accordance with the contract providing a high level of supporting information.
  • Ensure Payment Certificates are received from clients in line with the contract and resolve any difference in valuations, ensuring a positive cash position on every project
  • Undertake change process in accordance with the sub-contract documents and prepare detailed variation quotes, ensuring instructions are received in accordance with the contract
  • Production and Monitoring of Project Forecasts/Budgets and preparing monthly financial reports for all stakeholders
  • Preparing tender enquiries for Sub-Contract packages of work, analysing tender returns and administration of Sub-Contract Orders.
  • Monthly Valuation of Sub-Contract Accounts and agreement of final accounts
  • Working closely with the procurement department to ensure materials and procured within budget and reporting any variance
  • Submitting any notices required under the Contract
  • Supporting the Operations Team and advising on any Commercial points, ensuring that the works undertaken are carried out in accordance with the scope and terms of the Contract.
 

SALARY & PACKAGE

  • £65,000 - £70,000
  • Car Allowance / Company car (up for negotiation)
  • 25 days Annual leave + Bank Holidays
  • Performance Bonus
  • Pension Scheme
