Van mobile Waste operative – London/Kent £28/30k


 


 


My client  are seeking a waste operative  to join their team . The successful candidate will be responsible for managing/collecting and disposing of construction waste/materials from Central London sites and disposing of it back at the depot in Sittingbourne.


 


Main Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, and manage construction waste materials from various sites in central London, taking it back to the waste disposal unit in Sittingbourne daily.
•  Operate waste removal equipment including skips, bins, and compactors
• Identify recyclable materials and ensure proper segregation of waste
• Load and unload waste materials into appropriate containers
• Maintain cleanliness of construction sites by removing debris and waste
• Complete required documentation for waste disposal and recycling records
• Follow all health and safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times
• Report any hazardous materials or unsafe conditions to site supervisors
• Assist in waste management planning and implementation
• Perform basic maintenance checks on waste management equipment

Required Skills & Qualifications

• CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme)
• Full UK driving license (preferred)
• Knowledge of waste management and recycling procedures
• Understanding of health and safety regulations in construction
• Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy items
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills

 


SALARY :


 


£28/30k basic

3 month probation then perm contract if successful


Full clean drivers licence
