Intermediate / Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: West London
Salary: Up to £45,000 (depending on experience)

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Intermediate or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a forward-thinking consultancy. You’ll play a key role in the delivery of a diverse range of projects, taking ownership of cost management and contract administration tasks while mentoring junior team members.

The role offers autonomy, career development, and exposure to both pre- and post-contract work within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage cost planning, budgeting, and financial reporting across multiple projects
  • Prepare and review Bills of Quantities, tender documentation, and procurement strategies
  • Oversee contract administration, valuations, and final account settlements
  • Lead client meetings and liaise with design and project teams
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to Assistant QS team members
  • Contribute to business development and client relationship management
Essential Requirements
  • BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience within a consultancy or main contractor environment
  • Strong technical knowledge of cost management and construction contracts
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
  • Ambition to progress professionally (RICS chartered or working towards chartership)
  • Eligible to work in the UK and hold a valid UK driving licence
Desirable
  • Experience in residential and mixed-use developments
  • Proficiency in software such as CostX, Bluebeam, or MS Excel
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
