Job Title: Graduate Structural Engineer
Location: Manchester
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Structural Engineer to join our client’s innovative and expanding engineering team in Manchester. This position offers an excellent opportunity for recent graduates to gain practical experience and contribute to a variety of exciting projects across different sectors. It's an ideal role for those eager to begin a successful career in structural engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate on the design, analysis, and detailing of structural systems and components for a range of building and infrastructure projects.
  • Work alongside senior engineers to prepare technical drawings, calculations, and project reports.
  • Participate in site visits and surveys to evaluate conditions and ensure designs meet required specifications.
  • Engage with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, contractors, and other engineers, to ensure project success.
  • Contribute to the optimization and improvement of design processes and practices.
  • Assist in preparing project documentation and maintaining communication with clients regarding project matters.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key Requirements:

  • A degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering.
  • A solid foundation in structural analysis and design principles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Familiarity with engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or structural analysis tools is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
  • A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
  • A strong desire to pursue professional qualifications (e.g., Chartered Engineer status with ICE or IStructE).
