We are currently looking for an experienced and driven Senior Structural Engineer to join our clients growing team in Sheffield. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a wide spectrum of projects — from bespoke residential homes to complex multi-storey commercial and industrial structures.

Your Role

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality, innovative design solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects. Your responsibilities will include:

• Structural Design: Leading the design of various structures including single dwellings, multi-storey buildings, steel frames, concrete frames, portal frames, and traditional domestic structures.
• Technical Analysis: Using leading structural design and analysis software such as MasterSeries, CSC Fastrak, and Strand7 to produce accurate and efficient calculations.
• Project Delivery: Preparing detailed design drawings, specifications, reports, and fee proposals.
• Mentoring & Oversight: Guiding, reviewing, and approving the work of junior engineers and graduates, providing mentorship and technical leadership.
• Collaboration: Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, including civil, geotechnical, and environmental engineers, to deliver integrated project outcomes.
• Client Engagement: Attending client meetings to understand project goals, provide technical insight, and ensure alignment with client expectations.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a motivated and technically strong engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Ideally, you will have:

• A degree (BEng or MEng) in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
• Chartered status with IStructE or ICE, or actively working toward it.
• Proven hands-on experience in structural design across a variety of sectors.
• The ability to manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail and time management.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
