I have an exciting opportunity available for an Assistant Contract/Project Manager (Fabric) who is looking to progress their career into a Contracts/Project Manager Position.

This is a mobile position covering London & The Home Counties and will have a heavy emphasis on Project Delivery, managing & running teams on site.

The Candidate will come from a Carpentry/Multitrade/Fabric background and have experience in similar role.

This is an opportunity where the Company is looking to develop and train someone up into a full Contract/Project Manager.

THE COMPANY

My client are a Building Services & Specialist Contractor who have been established in 2003 who have 8 Offices throughout the UK.

As a business, they employ 300+ Staff Nationally and are expected to Turnover £55Mil+ this year.

Working within the Commercial & Public Sectors, their sites are generally within London, Surrey, Kent & Sussex. 

Due to growth of business, they are now seeking an Assistant Contract/Project Manager who comes from a Fabric background to join the team, to work on a mobile basis covering London & The Home Counties.


THE JOB – ASSISTANT CONTRACT/PROJECT MANAGER 


The ideal candidate will come from a Fabric background and be looking to progress their career.

Your area of cover will be London & the Home Counties. 

You will be working under with a Contracts Manager to relieve some of their workload, learn daily and further progress your skillset. 

Monday – Friday / 8am  - 5pm

Project Values will vary from £100 - £20,000.

This is a fast paced role, where the jobs would be of low value but high volume.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with all aspects of fabric work especially commercial refurbishment
  • Surveying of works and production of quotations
  • Assisting in the pricing and submission of tenders
  • Assist with production of project H&S information including CPPs and RAMS in liaison with H&S Management team
  • Assist with producing and managing project programs and timelines
  • Assist with management of labour and sub-contractors
  • Assist with management of on-site H&S including undertaking of site audits/inspections in line with company standard procedures
  • Attending project meetings and production of various reports and project documentation required
  • Contributing to work planning, and briefing project teams, contractors and suppliers
  • Assist or work closely with other internal departments (commercial. H&S) and external (client, design team) to ensure the contracts are delivered on time and within financial budgets.
  • Role will be office based however there will be a requirement to make regular site and client visits (within a region, nationally or internationally, depending on the construction project).
 
SALARY & PACKAGE

Up to £50,000

£5k Car Allowance or Van

20 Days Holiday & Bank Holidays
