About the Company

I am currently representing a leading building services provider that supports a wide range of commercial and residential sites. The company takes pride in delivering high-quality, reliable services and has built a strong reputation within the industry.
Due to continued growth, they are now seeking a Mobile Building Services Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join their team and play a key role in maintaining and improving electrical systems across client properties.

The Role

As a Mobile Building Services Engineer, you will:
  • Lead on electrical maintenance, fault resolution, and compliance across client sites.
  • Attend multiple sites as directed by the Service Desk to meet operational requirements.
  • Support wider building services, including basic mechanical, plumbing, or HVAC tasks where required.
  • Respond to emergencies, completing repairs safely and efficiently.
  • Provide technical advice and professional client communication on site.
  • Promote and adhere to Health & Safety and electrical regulations at all times.
  • Commit to continuous professional development, staying up to date with the latest electrical technologies and standards.
This is a mobile role requiring flexibility and occasional work outside standard hours to ensure service continuity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver planned, reactive, and statutory electrical maintenance on systems including lighting, power distribution, emergency lighting, fire alarm interfaces, and control systems.
  • Diagnose, isolate, and repair electrical faults.
  • Support small installation works, upgrades, and system modifications.
  • Accurately complete all electrical certification and compliance documentation.
  • Provide multi-skilled support where required (mechanical, plumbing, HVAC).
  • Attend and resolve electrical emergencies promptly and professionally.

Essential Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Maintenance (or equivalent)
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
  • City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent)
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary up to £48,000 per annum
