Mobile AC Engineer – Reading/West Surrey £43/45k Plus Travel on top.
I am currently representing an excellent mechanical company who are in need of a AC Engineer to join a growing team within Reading & West Surrey. The position is due to sheer growth within the company who provide projects, service & maintenance contracts to a variety of gas, A/C, heating and mechanical services to high end commercial clients in Reading/West Surrey on a mobile basis.
90% of the work is in Reading/West Surrey with 10% occasional London cover only.
You will be working on two specific contracts across reading and West Surrey carrying out the following duties :
THE ROLE:
Service/Maintenance/Breakdowns on :
• VRF’s / VRV’s
• Splits
• Downflow Units
• AHU’s
• FCU’s
Normal Rate of Pay : £42/45k dependant on experience
Position: Full time and permanent
Hours : Monday to Friday 40 hours per week (Working time)
Core hours : Between 0600 and 1800 daily – generally requiring a 0730 / 0800 hours start time on site or at office depending on schedule of work
Travel Time : This role is for a mobile engineer. The first 30 minutes of travel to work in the morning and your last 30 minutes of travel home at the end of the day are in your own time, travel in excess this and outside of your core hours will be paid.
Overtime : By prior approval of a contract manager and paid at flat rate unless otherwise stated/agreed beforehand (Some work attracts an enhanced rate of pay and this will be paid at x1.25 per hour. Additionally some work attracts payment at x1.5)
Normal Rate of Pay : £42/45k dependant on experience
Standby / Call Out : 1 week in 6/7 rotation on average. Retainer of £200 per week. All call outs paid at x1.5 door to door
Holiday: 20 days per annum (April to March) plus 8 bank holidays (28 days total)
Sickness: SSP
Probationary Period : 6 Months with a review at 3 and 6 months
Performance Review : Annual (to be confirmed)
Pension :Auto enrolment (5% and 3%)
