π Stoke-on-Trent | Office-based with flexible hours

π Full-time | 37.5 hours/week | Permanent role
I'm currently working with a growing, forward-thinking Civil & Structural Engineering consultancy based in Stoke-on-Trent, who are looking to bring in a capable and ambitious Civil Engineer β ideally someone with 2+ yearsβ experience.
This is a brilliant opportunity to take ownership of projects and play a key role in the development of a civils team within a company that values innovation, collaboration, and autonomy.
The Role
As the Civil Engineer, youβll be working across a variety of infrastructure and development schemes β taking projects from planning through to construction. This includes:
β’Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Designing drainage networks to S104 standards and liaising with local water authorities
β’Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Preparing SUDS strategies and Flood Risk Assessments
β’Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Designing residential roads to S38 and S278 standards
β’Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Modelling drainage systems using MicroDrainage or similar
β’Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Overseeing production and QA of technical drawings and engineering documentation
β’Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Liaising with planners, clients, and local authorities
β’Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Mentoring junior team members (if senior level)
This role offers genuine progression, with the chance to shape how the civils function grows within the consultancy.
What They're Looking For
β’Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β HNC, BEng or similar in Civil Engineering
β’Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Strong technical understanding of UK drainage and highways design standards
β’Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Proficiency in MicroDrainage / InfoDrainage, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office
β’Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Previous consultancy experience (ideally in residential or commercial developments)
β’Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Full UK Driving Licence
β’Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Good communicator and confident engaging with clients and authorities
