Job Responsibilities:
- Produce detailed 2D and 3D drawings for civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, drainage systems, utilities, and land development.
- Prepare site plans, grading plans, profiles, cross-sections, and detail drawings based on project specifications and standards.
- Modify existing drawings as needed, incorporating design changes, client feedback, or updated standards.
- Mentor and support junior CAD technicians, providing training and technical assistance on civil engineering projects.
- Review and verify the accuracy and quality of drawings and designs produced by the team to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Work closely with civil engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure designs are feasible and meet project requirements.
- Oversee the workflow of CAD tasks within civil engineering projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to deadlines.
- Proficiently use specialized civil CAD software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, or similar applications relevant to civil engineering.
- Coordinate with various departments, including engineering, construction, and planning teams, to ensure cohesive and integrated project execution.
- Identify and address technical issues related to civil CAD drawings and designs, implementing effective solutions.

Successful candidate requirements:
- Relevant degree in Civil Engineering or related field is required (i.e. BEng (Hons)/MEng (Hons))
- Minimum 4+ years’ experience in creating and prepared detailed drawings, etc. within infrastructure, drainage, flood risk assessments and highways, etc.
- Highly experienced in the use of AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D is essential.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, standards, and practices, particularly in areas like road design, drainage, grading, and utilities.
- Proven and relevant delegation and negotiating skills alongside relevant project management experience
- Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in all drawings and designs
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Ability to provide guidance and mentorship to junior CAD technicians and support staff.
- Knowledge of the design and layout of utilities, including water, sewer, and stormwater systems is preferred
